How to Identify and Manage Layouts in Avada Builder
If you downloaded a Avada website template, and you are editing a page in Avada and can’t locate a specific container, it might be controlled by a global or custom layout. Follow these steps to find and manage the layouts:
1. View All Layouts within the Avada Website template
- Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
- Navigate to Avada > Layouts.
- This section shows all existing layouts (Global, Header, Footer, Content, etc.) and what’s assigned to each.
2. Understand Global Layouts
- The Global Layout is applied sitewide and typically includes the default header and footer.
- To create a custom look, you can build a new layout (e.g., different header for blog posts or landing pages) and assign it by post type or specific pages.
3. Assign Layouts by Page or Post Type
- In the Avada Layout Builder, edit or create a new layout.
- Under the Layout Section Options, you can assign it to:
- All Posts
- All FAQs
- A specific Page or Post
- Categories or Custom Taxonomies
4. Check Assigned Layouts on a Specific Page
- Open the page in the WordPress editor.
- In the right-hand sidebar under Avada Page Options, look for the Assigned Layout section.
- This will show if any custom layout is applied (e.g., a header-less landing page).
This quick guide helps ensure consistency in your site’s design and makes it easier to customize individual pages when needed.
